Cari's Page

Hi - my name is Cariad, but my friends call me Cari. You can call me Cari if you like. I was born in the small Somerset town of Nether Stowey on the 2nd of May 2000. I spent my first few weeks with my mother and my three brothers, together with the family of humans that mum lived with. There were lots of human children in the house and we all had lots of love and attention, but the humans couldn't keep all of us, so they told their friends that they had a litter of kittens that were nearly ready to choose humans of their own.

Luckily, word reached Sandra and Robert and they were the first humans to come round to be viewed by my brothers and I. I liked them as soon as they walked in to the kitchen where we were waiting. When Robert picked me up I acted as cute as I knew how. He seemed really nice, and so did Sandra, so I decided that I was going to live with them and started to groom Robert's hand. He couldn't not choose me after that, could he? When he put me back on the sofa, I started to groom one of my brothers, just to keep their attention.

Two weeks later, on July 2nd, Robert & Sandra came round again, this time to take me off to the new home I'd chosen. I didn't enjoy the drive to Taunton very much, but when we did get to the house, they had some nice food for me, and a little home of my own to live in while I got used to the new place.

At home for the first time. This is me, just a few minutes after getting home for the first time.

I quickly realised that there was another cat living here already. No-one told me about that - have I made a mistake. She came and looked at me in my house a few times over the next couple of days and hissed at me. But it was all OK in the end - we're good friends now and play together all the time. We even snuggle up together on Robert & Sandra's bed sometimes, but only if they're not looking.

Here are a few more pictures of me about the house..............
